Project Planning: Origin & Project Site Readiness Evaluation

WYOMING

For a wind turbine project located in Wyoming, the customer could not access a deployment site with the wind turbine components due to the local municipality’s request to first upgrade a 15-mile stretch of road at an exorbitant cost. Our site assessment identified an abandoned rail line running parallel to the deficient road and detailed what modifications could be done to provide access to the site through the rail line. This saved the customer millions of dollars on road upgrades while creating a solution that was out of sight, out of mind for local civilians despite the 2,000 heavy haul components that needed to be delivered to the site.
