We commend the Senate for passing the climate provision in the Inflation Reduction Act. Once the legislation is signed into law, the renewable energy industry will be able to develop the long-term investment that is needed to reduce economy-wide emissions by 40% by 2030. This historic legislation and the investment that follows will create hundreds of thousands of new green jobs while making our planet cleaner and our nation more energy independent.
