PROJECT OVERVIEW ⇢
On January 17, Logisticus Group was tasked with government relations + civil improvements for a wind customer. Services needed spanned multiple locations in TX, but primarily the Wichita Falls area.
The value + main differentiator Logisticus provided this time was the coordination of the separate government entities, who needed to be consistently encouraged toward resolution + agreement in a timely, efficient + highly professional manner for us to execute the original scope of work.
LPG ultimately facilitated an unconventional agreement with the State of TX that fulfilled our customer’s needs.
SCOPE ⇢
The original scope of work presented to Logisticus’s team included the following tasks:
Engineering of plan sheets
For permitting purposes, all engineered plan sheets required a stamp from a qualified engineer, registered in the state of Texas;
Permitting all needed route improvements along State ROWs
This required working together with both TXDOT district offices and the Contract Services Group in Austin, who was tasked with drafting a new type of “Donation Agreement” never before used in TX which allowed a private company to perform construction 100% in the State ROW without owning the adjacent property when typically, this has to go through a procurement process with the State – and is handled solely by TXDOT once the contract and contractor are secured.
Relocation of signs in State ROW + along delivery route
Placing stop signs/road signs/etc. on TXDOT-approved stands to allow carrier to easily move signs as deliveries pass through.
Tree trimming + removal
Installation of civil improvements
These included turning radii on State ROW in 2 locations. We were responsible for identification of a civil construction company qualified + capable of performing the necessary work.
Reclaim
Signs and improvements always must be returned to original state when a project of this nature wraps.
