MEET THE STAFF
This month’s staff introduction is with Human Resources Director, Jennifer Wright, who has been a part of our team for three years. Something you might not know about Jennifer? She got her career start in philosophy! Now that is something we want to know more about…
Learn more about Jennifer in our full interview below!
Why choose Logisticus to work? // This was my “back-to-work” job after several years as a full-time mom. The company culture and mission really appealed to me.
What are you hoping to accomplish at Logisticus? // Since I started at Logisticus, we have grown from about 30 employees to over 80. My goals include hiring and retaining the best team, and ensuring that, as we grow, we remain at the forefront of best employment practices.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Logisticus? // I love that everyone at Logisticus Group has a real “can-do” attitude. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard one of our employees say that they can’t do something, or aren’t up to the challenge…even if the task is one we have not tackled before.
What is something interesting about you/something interesting you do outside of work? // I started my career as a philosopher…don’t ask (or do 😄).
Do you have a favorite sports team? If so, what sport and team? // I’m a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings, so not a lot of joy there. I also root for Notre Dame football, but may be forced to split my allegiance with Clemson (gasp!) since my daughter started college there last fall.
Who is your favorite music band? // My musical interests have largely been hijacked by my teenagers…based on that I like AJR, Coldplay, Eminem, Green Day, and the Foo Fighters.
What’s your favorite TV show? // I’m a sucker for a crime drama.
Do you have a hobby? If so, what is it? // Making stuff – from cooking and baking to sewing and building…sometimes I can’t find what I see in my mind’s eye, so I create it myself.
What’s your favorite food? // I’m obsessed with the Korean food at a hole-in-the wall place in Columbus, GA. My sister thinks we visit the area to see them, but, secretly, we’re really there for the Kim Bahp.
Stay tuned for more “Meet The Staff” posts where we give you a behind-the-scenes look at our team each month. More to come next month!
