We just wrapped our first documentary-style video – and it features a MAJOR civil project that we completed this summer.

PROJECT OVERVIEW ⇢
In July, customers came to us to design and construct offsite road improvements for an upcoming 110 MW power project set to start in approximately 8 weeks. Improvements consisted of a multitude of locations. They included a mix of county and state highways, in addition to private land.
LOCATION ⇢
Van Wert, OH (a rural farm district)
PROCESS ⇢
Our engineering and planning teams immediately began to work on the challenge. They tapped into our regional network of civil contractors and state and local government contacts in order to prepare for what was ahead.
A key element of our process is to meet with key stakeholders throughout the permit process. As a result, they’re already well-versed in the project when it’s time to issue permits + approvals.
KEY CHALLENGES + DIFFERENTIATORS ⇢
What made the power project highly unique was that it was set to receive the largest wind turbine blade ever transported over the road in North America. Our engineering team had to create fully custom solutions due to the newness of the specifications involved with these extremely large blades.
We also worked with our customer’s chosen transportation provider in order to ensure no challenges along the route occurred.
Other major challenges were the timeline and the amount of work to be done – but hats off to the Logisticus project team. They even managed to complete it ahead of schedule!
