Logisticus Group® was contracted to deliver 2 Wind Blade Molds – door to door from Northeastern United States to Eastern Europe. Our team conducted a multitude of cost/benefit analyses, determining the most cost effective logistics strategy to optimize transit time. We provided the customer multiple options with varying price points allowing them to make the best decision for their business unit and the end customer. Since these molds are used for serial Wind Blade production, precise timing for delivery is crucial and Logisticus Group delivered both Blade Molds on time, on budget, and with no damage.
As part of the pre-planning activity, Logisticus Group took the initiative to develop Transportation and Handling Guidelines for the Blade Mold Components. Each Component is uniquely configured and requires specific handling in order to properly lift, secure and transport. These guidelines were utilized by US and European trucking companies, ports, terminal stevedores, the Port Captains, as well as the end customer’s offloading team.
Logisticus Group’s full-scope logistics solution for the international transport of this high-visibility, high-value freight exceeded our customer’s expectations and provided the proven baseline procedure for subsequent moves.
