The Project
Recently we designed and constructed a long-term transformer pad for a for a spare 542MVA main power transformer.
The Goal?
Our customer wanted to ensure service disruption would be minimal to the public in the event of a critical failure at their facility.
The Scope
Our team conducted a robust transport mitigation plan and located a spot along a river system which would allow us a very quick response time to transport the 460ton unit from the temporary storage pad to the power plant.
Results
Our team designed and constructed the pad with the intent that it would need to last up to 30 years. This is another unique service we offer to aid our customers’ ability to react quickly.
